Bazar Tapas NYC delivered one of those meals where every dish and every cocktail felt carefully crafted.
The watermelon salad was light and refreshing, the patatas bravas were perfectly crisp, and the gambas al ajillo were packed with flavor. The costillas de res were tender and rich, while the salmon toast brought a fresh, vibrant balance to the table. The roasted cauliflower was a standout, and both the mushroom croquettes and Serrano ham croquettes were crispy, creamy, and absolutely delicious.
The cocktails were just as impressive. The Flatiron was smooth and well-balanced, the Paradise lived up to its name with bright tropical notes, and the Cucumber Cooler was crisp, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal.
From start to finish, everything we tried was excellent. Bazar Tapas NYC delivers a great combination of Spanish-inspired flavors, creative cocktails, and a lively atmosphere that makes you want to stay for one more round.

Extremely delicious. I loved the way the octopus and short rib were cooked. I like my octopus soft inside and crispy outside. It was perfect. The short rib, oh my goodness! Tender! That wild mushroom mousse pairs well with the potatoes and spinach on the short rib.
For starters, we had the pan con tomate and burrata pomodoro. At first, we thought we ordered too many bread options, but I couldn’t complain. The pan con tomate pairs well with the burrata and is great for mopping up all the sauces. Truly amazing.
The truffle croquettes were exquisite, and the steak bites were so juicy and delicious. However, the chimichurri was thicker than I prefer. I like mine looser, sauce-like, but I still enjoyed it. After having all the steak, I honestly wanted more bread to finish the chimichurri sauce since it was all at the bottom, but I think I had enough bread at that point.
In the end, the passionfruit flan was chefs kiss. It reminded me of a tres leches even though it wasn't. Ha.
The traditional red sangria was delicious. It wasn't as sweet, since I hate sweet sangria.
All in all, I’m coming back. Thanks to our server, Liliana, I believe her name was. I’ll be back!

Cute bistro serving great food. We really enjoyed everything we ordered: root salad, roasted cauliflower, octopus, and salmon. The serving sizes are quite substantial for tapas style.

Bazár is a great restaurant for a weekend brunch - the food is both hearty portions and delicious! I enjoyed this meal with my friends and our server Carol was an absolute sweetheart. She was attentive and kind throughout the experience! Would definitely return! We had the brunch paella, which was delicious

I’ll just be straight and honest, two major concerns
1. There was no sign nor the staff member telling me of the 3% credit card surcharge, I only find out when I have the receipt, this is illegal in NYC.
Edit: the owner told me it was well published in their menu, maybe I didn’t see it. If they put in the menu then it complies with the law.
2. The $95 paella is far off the quality, all the seafood is not fresh and overcooked / super dry. I tried 2 pieces for each kind to make sure it’s not my problem. There is basically no seafood umami flavor, overcooked and not fresh. The entire dish is made super salty.
I end up left 90% of the paella there, and the waiter was very rude - I first complaining about the food, they were like ‘if not food is not good, why you eat’, I was like ‘if I don’t eat how do I tell it’s bad, do you expect me to just eat one spoon and figure it out immediately? ‘
And then I complain about surcharge, they were like, it’s the rule blah blah.
I hope the manager can take this seriously, they were not there and I have texted them.
